JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an energetic, aggressive multimedia journalist to cover our South Carolina counties. You must be a motivated self-starter, able to multitask, and manage your time well. We need a journalist who connects with the community and with the viewer. Clear, compelling storytelling, accurate breaking news, and community involvement are keys to success in this role.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Pitch 3 viable, developed story ideas per shift
Develop and cultivate sources; enterprise stories
Produce a minimum of one package and one vosot in an 8 hour shift
Create digital and social content
Must be able to lift 25-30 lbs
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and motor vehicle background check

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in journalism or related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a reporter/MMJ required, bureau reporting experience preferred
Social media proficiency required
Excellent time management skills
Strong writing skills (broadcast and print styles)
