WCNC-TV Charlotte is looking for a self-motivated Facilities Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of the broadcast facility. A successful candidate will be able to think on their feet and is focused on quality customer service for internal customers and manage external vendors approved expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide maintenance and repair for WCNC-managed building systems including HVAC, lighting, electrical and plumbing for both studio and transmitter facilities.
  • Coordinate with contractors for maintenance of systems that are provided under various service agreements.
  • General grounds maintenance and management of grounds crew.
  • Carpentry
  • Painting
  • Keep track of building plans and update when needed.
  • Manage daily, weekly, monthly and annual maintenance records for all systems.
  • Provide maintenance, repair and re-configuration as needed for office furniture systems.
  • Provide support for various departments to accommodate set-ups for special events.
  • Other tasks as assigned
  • Work closely with the Head of Technology to support all departments .

Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of facilities maintenance experience required.
  • Must be detail oriented, able to quickly adapt to change, and be responsive to problems as they might arise.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and similar computer applications.
  • Read technical drawings/documentation.
  • Handle and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Fork Lift Operation.
  • Must be willing to be on call and work flexible shifts to meet station needs.
  • Lift up to 70 lbs, climb ladders and work on elevated surfaces.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently as part of a team.
  • Effectively communicate directly with internal customers.
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Other duties as assigned.
