The Digital Producer is responsible for creating content for all digital platforms along with developing and implementing a multi-screen strategy, including web, apps, and social sites that increase synergies between
on-air and digital content.

 

Responsibilities:

· Management of the station’s digital platforms including online, mobile and all emerging social media, to include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and all others to come.

· Motivate, influence, train and develop a sense of urgency for station staff to advance social platforms and best practices in their daily course of work.

· Lead and contribute to the development of strategic and tactical digital media plans.

· Understand all measurement metrics including Facebook Insights, Omniture, comScore, Google Analytics, Brightcove Video, Chartbeat, Twitter Counter, and all.

Requirements:

· College degree in journalism, marketing or mass communications.

· In-depth knowledge and experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Metric tools and SEO best practices are required.

· Must be highly motivated, creative andaggressive in driving digital performance.

· Excellent writing, organization skills are required along with ability to aggregate daily/hourly trends to present at news meetings.

· Must be a multitasker who can plan for special projects and major news events, including breaking news coverage.

· Flexible schedule required, to include holidays and weekends.

· Knowledge of local television workflow, processes and systems is preferred.

· Strong video editing skills (experience using avid/final cut/premiere) preferred.

· Strong photo-editing skills (experience using Photoshop) preferred.
