TEGNA station WFMY-TV, the CBS affiliate in Greensboro, NC is looking for an experienced, dynamic Meteorologist.  The ideal candidate is creative and dedicated to making great weather graphics and weather explainers.  We don't just show the 7-Day, we're heavy on explaining what's happening and WHY.  In addition, you are independently motivated to succeed on your own. What we need:

• Produce and deliver live, authoritative, compelling weathercasts which includes fill-in work across all shifts.
• Must be "all in" on social media and digital – know what to post and when, and how to advance our weather message on all platforms.
• Gather, interpret, and deliver weather information using state-of-the-art weather technology across various distribution platforms.  
• Must be willing to work various shifts including early morning and weekend shifts.
• May be required to field report weather-related news stories.

What you need:

• College meteorology degree with CBM seal preferred, or at least eligible.
• Demonstrated weather knowledge and experience covering severe weather.
• Minimum 3 years’ weather anchor experience preferred.
• Strong, dynamic on-air presence with the ability to “tell” a weather story.
• Ability to work under intense deadlines and be a team player.
• Strong ad-lib skills are essential.
• Technical knowledge of WSi systems preferred; field videography skills a plus.
• Link to reel must be included for consideration.
