WCNC is seeking a Business Development leader to work alongside a talented team. 

Core Responsibilities:

Prospect and Close New Business
Assist local and regional Account Executives to prospect and close new business
Assist in the development of local and regional Account Executives
Assist in the development of key account relationships
Promote and Sell key station events and programming
Attend community events to represent WCNC

What you need to bring to the table:

You need to be a quick learner with a bright personality. For you, problem-solving is not a problem.

At least 2 years of office/phone experience. You will be comfortable talking on the phone. You have had a headset on before, and have a knack for interpreting what somebody on the other end of the call is feeling.
Great organizational skills. There’s a difference between saying you’re organized and actually being organized. You should have some experience in managing tasks along with filing documents (both electronic and print).
You have self-confidence. You’re totally at ease communicating with CEOs and the like.
CRM experience (preferred but not essential). You have experience with CRMs (SalesForce.com, etc.) and interacting with ERP systems. (Of course, we also provide training on how we use our CRM).
Understand sales and marketing concepts. Since you will work closely with our Business Development Managers’ Team, the feedback you provide about our promotions will be helpful in tailoring our offers to customers (both new and existing).
