WCNC-NBC Charlotte, a TEGNA Company, is looking for a dynamic Associate Producer for its lifestyle and entertainment show, Charlotte Today.  The Associate Producer will work in a collaborative environment with the Executive Producer, Producer, Show Hosts, Photographer and Editors.

The ideal candidate will be a social media star!  Creative writing for our on-line platforms for Charlotte Today and WCNC NBC Charlotte is essential.  We want you to engage our online audience with interactive content that also enhances station viewership. 

The position includes coordinating multiple elements for the Charlotte Today broadcast.  You will schedule and coordinate daily chef segments.  Studio duties include assisting guests with mics and operating a hand-held camera during our live show.  You will post show segments and original content to our website and social media pages, as well as clip sales segments for Account Executives to deliver to clients.  The position includes editing teases and voice overs for the show.

The Associate Producer will work closely with our Sales Department to secure and deliver high quality, entertaining and informative sponsored segments. This includes interfacing with clients and ensuring their mission is effectively presented on television with the goal of helping them attract new business to their company.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Greeting guests upon arrival to the station

Helping clients and guests set up displays and prepare for their segment before the show

Run errands for show props and supplies

Keeping kitchen set clean and stocked

Washing dishes used in cooking segments on a daily basis

Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and experience that demonstrates the necessary skills and abilities required for this job.
