WRAL is seeking a standout storyteller who is able to enterprise original, local stories on a daily basis. We need a reporter who has excellent news judgment, strong interviewing and writing skills, and the ability to deliver engaging live shots in a wide variety of situations. This person must develop contacts and build sources, using them to break stories on a regular basis across multiple platforms. Being active and effective in Social Media is essential.
Experience with ENPS, computer-assisted reporting, knowledge of the Carolinas is preferred. Requirements include three years of previous experience reporting in local television news, a four-year college degree, and a pre-employment drug screening. WRAL is locally owned by Capitol Broadcasting Company, a community-oriented company that offers some of the best benefits in the business.
