CBS 17, the Nexstar station in Raleigh, is looking for an experienced MMJ/Reporter to work in one of our bureaus. Candidates must be self-starters who can work independently. You must be passionate about great storytelling and accountability journalism. Candidates must excel at live Breaking News. Must be a strong writer with a great eye, creative editing skills and understand the value of video and natural sound. All of our reporters are expected to work beats to build sources and generate exclusive story ideas. Must be aggressive on digital and social media. Candidates must have a college degree and at least three years reporting/MMJ experience at a network affiliate. Experience:
Must have at least 3 years of editing and shooting, whether that is within news or promotions. Experience within promotions preferred. Applicant needs to be proficient on the Adobe Platform. |
Requirements:
This creative individual will be responsible for writing and producing station image, news image, daily news topicals and sales projects as well as anything else we throw your way. If you’re a team player and like to produce, this is the job for you. In addition to your creativity, you’ll need excellent verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to work with multiple departments on multiple assignments in a fast paced environment. Applicants must be an Adobe After Effects pro and a hands-on non-linear editing wizard, preferably on Premiere. Candidate must know how to shoot (DSLR cameras) with understanding of lighting/cinema lenses. You must be able to see projects through from start to finish and feel comfortable working within a team. Must have at least 3 years of editing and shooting, whether that is within news or promotions. Experience within promotions preferred. Applicant needs to be proficient on the Adobe Platform.
