| Description | WUNC Corporate Support Associate North Carolina Public Radio WUNC, Chapel Hill Position Summary: This position serves as a development associate for corporate support activities for a CPB-qualified, NPR-member public radio station, and reports to the Corporate Support Manager. The primary purpose of the Corporate Support Associate is to meet individual sales goals on a monthly and annual basis thereby contributing to the overall success of the WUNC underwriting team. These goals will be achieved by researching, locating and contacting national, regional and local businesses, organizations and agencies to present sponsorship opportunities. The Corporate Support Associate will be a professional electronic media sales person who knows and understands public media’s significance in the world of marketing. Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required. Qualifications and Experience: The Corporate Support Associate is a professional electronic media sales person who knows and understands public media’s significance in the world of marketing. Leading candidates will have: Minimum 2 years of experience as a media sales person or a related position working with national, regional and/or local clients and agencies. The ability to build rapport with people and achieve business relationships that are credible and trustworthy. High attention to detail with the ability to think strategically, manage time and effectively prioritize to achieve station, client and personal goals. Experience with traffic software, Tapscan and CRM software. Ability to create credible and professional visual presentations and proposals. A collaborative personality who enjoys working as part of a team and values communicating with management and peers for feedback/insight. Public media knowledge and experience preferred.
