In partnership with Politifact, WRAL News is looking for a journalist, researcher, and fact-checker who is committed to scrutinizing and holding politicians accountable. We need someone who values the truth, is skeptical by nature, exudes curiosity, and exemplifies tenacity. Working full-time, this individual will endeavor to verify what’s said on the campaign trail, what’s spoken in the halls of government, what’s posted on the web, and what’s shared socially.
We’ll be looking for this person to produce multi-platform content each week. Getting it right is paramount. Compelling writing and presentation for the web and television are essential. The ideal candidate has a journalism background with at least three years of reporting experience, a track record of probing stories, and a keen interest in politics. On-air television experience would be a plus.
