Local Sales Manager-4391
WNCT/ENCT/WNCT.Com is seeking a Local Sales Manager. This position is responsible for creating and executing sales strategies that deliver customer solutions through an integrated suite of media platforms including television, internet, mobile and other emerging products. The position requires growing core shares of direct, agency and digital business, as well as creating new clients for our television and digital platforms. The Local Sales Manager will be responsible for developing a strong, forward thinking sales team that is well versed in all products. The position reports to the General Sales Manager.
At least 5 years Broadcast Sales Experience, with television sales and management experience preferred. Demonstrated success in developing new business and growing existing accounts. Demonstrated success with multi-platform sales initiatives. College Degree preferred
Strong problem solving and analytical skills required. Good communication skills that sell ideas and solutions. Strong time management and organizational skills. Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Wide Orbit Sales, and Wide Orbit Traffic (preferred), Matrix and Nielsen Local TV View. Manage key local accounts with AE's. Ability to achieve budget goals. Identify market potential through lead generation and qualification. Accurately identify, monitor and forcast sales and market trends. Complete appropriate business activity reports and forecasts. Monitor Sales/Market share change. Expand sales in existing acccounts by developeing new platforms. Monitor competitive products. Coach sales reps with timely and relevant feedback. Ability to recruit sales talent to join the WNCT Sales Team. Provide training for account executives. Develope creative, effective customer focused solutions.
