Dear NCAB Member,
We are very excited to officially invite you to the 2026 NWS Raleigh Tropical Media Training Workshop. NOAA is a trusted member of the State Emergency Communication Committee (SECC).
As NWS prepares for the upcoming season, they want to ensure our members have the latest tropical tools, resources, and communication strategies from our office.
NOAA will be offering two identical workshop sessions to accommodate different schedules.
Topics That Will Be Covered:
- 2026 Tropical Product Changes
- NWS Flood Inundation Modeling
- Numerical Weather Prediction Upgrades
- A Look Back at Chantal
- NWS Organizational Structure Updates
Session Dates:Tuesday, June 30th: Afternoon (12:30 pm – 3:30 pm)
Thursday, July 9th: Morning (9:00 am – 12:00 pm)Registration Info:Please fill out this Registration Form by Friday, June 26, 2026.
Please Note: Each session requires a minimum of 4 registrants to run. If a session does not meet this minimum by the deadline, we will unfortunately have to cancel that specific time slot and ask you to join the alternate session.
