HighSchoolOT.com is looking for an aggressive go-getter to push our reporting of scores over the top. The assistant will use the telephone, internet, email, social media and personal contacts to collect, verify and report scores, statistics, notes and information for deadline coverage of high school sports. This is a part-time position -- approximately 20 hours per week -- with most of the work on nights and weekends. This person must have a demonstrated knowledge of high school sports in North Carolina, an interest in media and strong written, spoken and telephone communication skills. Must be self-sufficient, driven and comfortable with technology tools including the web and social media. The successful candidate should be either a current student or recent graduate of a four-year college/university. A degree or major in Journalism, English or Mass Communications is a plus.
