Contribute story ideas Be aware of legal issues relating to news gathering, delivery and editorial content Write, edit, prepare and conduct live and recorded newscasts in a journalistically objective manner, often on tight deadlines Gather story information by phone, wire, internet and field reporters Work with Program Director on delivery of content to follow the format clock Interact with talk shows as part of an on-air ensemble team Write, edit, prepare, and post written news articles for station’s digital platforms Develop contacts and sources for stories Other duties may be assigned KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: Present a positive and professional attitude and presence at all station events High-level written and verbal communication skills, and in particular the ability to communicate around multiple creative projects in a time-sensitive manner Strong attention to detail and solid organizational and project management skills Submit to a criminal background check Legal right to work in the United States EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree, preferably in Journalism or Communications.
