CBC Division is seeking a person to perform master control and video file transfer duties in a multi-channel, multi-format, technically innovative, and news – intensive environment. This individual will also perform duties in the areas of satellite dish uplink/downlink set-up, and other visual and aural associated duties.
The Broadcast Operator will maintain the quality and integrity of microwave, satellite, fiber-optic and broadcast signals, coordinate live shots during newscasts, switch local and network programming, record local and satellite feed materials and communicate with other departments throughout the station.
Knowledge of, and ability to manage, isci codes as well as the capability to log, key, and manage numbers/letter sequences are essential. Must be knowledgeable of Windows based platforms, have computer automation experience, be able to read digital vector scopes, understand transmitter power, and satellite transmission/receiver operations. Practical, quick decision-making abilities, excellent communication skills, and a passion for personal growth are required.
You must be able to work first, second, and third shift as needed. This is a part time position, 20 hours per week. A college degree or equivalent related experience at a commercial television station with emphasis in the areas of master control, quality control, and production preferred.
